Call for PEACH West Norfolk Partner Proposals and Ideas

PEACH West Norfolk is a Cultural Education Partnership working across the borough of West Norfolk seeking to support a range of activities and bold ideas which can help to realise its mission.

Between July 2024 – August 2025, Creative Arts East has up to £6,000 to invest to enable active members of the PEACH West Norfolk partnership and other relevant providers to deliver a range of initiatives aligned with the key objectives of the network (outlined further below).

Please click here for an outline of the investment requirements, along with the timetable and process for decision-making.

What we are looking to support:

New and/or evolving projects which contribute to one or more of our 4 core aims:

  • Every child, every year, has a positive cultural experience (active and as audience) as part of a broad and balanced curriculum in-school
  • Children and young people are supported to access and participate in an extra-curricular cultural offer
  • The LCEP provides the resources for children and young people to develop independent creativity
  • Cultural education is continuously championed and developed by an area-wide, strategic partnership which is fit for purpose.

Whilst the partnership is open to all kinds of ideas and proposals, between 2024-2025 we identify 4 key objectives that will take priority:

  • Continuous professional development
    • Opportunities to develop teaching and artistic workforce skills, knowledge and confidence
  • School partnerships
    • Taking artists into schools, taking pupils to cultural spaces, overcoming barriers that enable this, such as transport costs, artist time and travel, etc. There is an opportunity to further music and drama provision – plugging gaps in provision and providing progression experiences.
  • Making ‘space’ for young people to find out and participate
    • Work which invites young people into creative spaces in their own time, allows them creative space (physically and metaphorically) to make and grow.
  • Provision mapping
  • Specifically, we are seeking a West Norfolk Cultural Education Provision mapping exercise costing up to £1000.

Timetable

The deadline for receipt of proposals is 10am 31st May 2024.

We expect to review and communicate to all proposers by end of June 2024.

Projects should begin no earlier than 1 July 2024 and end no later than 31st August 2025 (or evidence that the PEACH West Norfolk contribution is spent by 31 August 2025)

If you have an idea or suggestion, you are advised to contact Natalie Jode, Chair PEACH West Norfolk at Creative Arts East for an informal chat as soon as possible prior to beginning a proposal.
